Every page has a default format of separate sections with the headings as mentioned below. Contributors and moderators could decide to use different headings.

If you want to see a template of the default headings and/or copy-paste these default headings, go to: http://activistwiki.net/index.php?title=Template

-Title: Describe brief the content of this wiki in the form of: ‘How to…’ For instance: ‘How to facilitate a meeting’ or ‘How to organise an effective demonstration’.

-Other search terms: Give as many alternative terms/synonyms as possible for your wiki, so that the search engine will also refer to this wiki when these terms are used. An example of a synonym for ‘how to facilitate a meeting’ is: ‘leadership’. These terms have to be single words or short sentences.

- Key problem:  This section of the text describes a problem in society or in activist initiatives that could be improved. For example: traditional ways to make decisions in activist groups can be experienced as authoritarian, hierarchical and non-democratic; therefore, this wiki describes different ways of decision making in activist groups such as consensus decision making. Give any definitions for new key terms, such as ‘consensus decision making’ and/or create links to places where these terms are described in more detail. Try to write as neutral as possible, and give evidence and/or references (between brackets) for every statement or sentence like in Wikipedia; be clear if something is merely based on a personal opinion e.g. by adding between brackets: (Name, personal opinion).

- Solutions & steps: This section gives precise and specific suggestions how to solve the problem. This is a description of possible step-wise procedure and strategy. This text should help activists to directly solve the problem that is described in this wiki. For instance, describe the steps how a group can make a decision on the basis of consensus. Try to write as neutral as possible, and give evidence and/or references (between brackets) for every statement or sentence like in Wikipedia; be clear if something is merely based on a personal opinion e.g. by adding between brackets: (Name, personal opinion).

- Evidence & examples: This section shows how these solutions actually work in practice and what evidence there is for the usefulness of these solutions. These can be examples from the own experience or evidence for academic research. Try to write as neutral as possible, and give evidence and/or references (between brackets) for every statement or sentence like in Wikipedia; be clear if something is merely based on a personal opinion e.g. by adding between brackets: (Name, personal opinion).

- Challenges & overcoming: This section describes possible problems and challenges when trying these solutions to overcome the problem described in this wiki. Also information can be provided how to overcome these problems. For instance, a wiki about consensus decision-making could describe how to deal with individuals who oppose a proposal, or who reject consensus decision making in general. Try to write as neutral as possible, and give evidence and/or references (between brackets) for every statement or sentence like in Wikipedia; be clear if something is merely based on a personal opinion e.g. by adding between brackets: (Name, personal opinion).

- Discussion points: This section describes differences in opinion between different people or contributors to this wiki. As we are human beings, it is likely we will have different ideas what the problems and solutions are. Being open and describing our doubts and differences can help to explore new opportunities to improve our analysis of the problem and the solutions. Try to write as neutral as possible, and give evidence and/or references (between brackets) for every statement or sentence like in Wikipedia; be clear if something is merely based on a personal opinion e.g. by adding between brackets: (Name, personal opinion).
